Past Workshops 2016:

144/48 Takeover May/June

I led a week of workshops with 16 young people where they were supported to write 4 brand new 10 minute plays which premiered at a special Spark event at The Y Theatre. The theme for the plays was ‘Invasion’ and we had zombies in hospitals, invasions of dreams and burglars invading a museum. A sell out audience watched the shows and thoroughly enjoyed them.

Script Clinics at The Y Theatre

I ran a monthly clinic looking at the nuts and bolts of scenes, dialogue, narrative structure, character, motivation.

Coming out of, and supported by 14/48:UK the clinic looked at work in progress with a particular emphasis on writing short plays & will have a good humoured, hands on approach to developing your work.

Creative Writing with WEA

I taught this class for the WEA starting April 13th – 11 sessions for 2 hrs per session on Wednesdays at 10:oo at Newarke Houses Museum.

This course is general creative writing, exercises and homework with feedback during class. A very enjoyable class with a very talented group of beginners plus more experienced writers.

I’m happy to suggest workshops from my menu or to design a workshop for a specific setting or tailored to a certain group.
